定語從句是由或引導的從句，其作用是作修飾乙個名詞或代詞，被修飾的名詞，片語或代詞被叫做定語從句通常出現在之後。定語從句分和兩種。

關係代詞代替先行詞（指人或物的名詞或代詞），並在從句中充當主語、賓語、定語等成分。

掌握以上關係代詞的含義及使用時，要特別注意以下幾點：
1） 指人時宜用who 的情況：
a. 當先行詞是 one, ones, anyone 或 those , these 時，關係代詞用 who。
（1）the comrade（同志） i want to learn from is the one who studies hard and works hard.
（2）anyone who breaks the law should be punished.
（3）these who are going to beijing are the best students of our school.
b. 在there be 開頭的句子中。
（1）there』s a beautiful girl who came to see you this morning.
（2）there is a student who wants to see you.
c. 先行詞後有乙個較長的定語。
i met a foreigner in the city last week who could speak chinese well.
d. 在非限定性定語從句中。
she has a brother, who worked at that factory ten years ago.
2) 指物時宜用 that 的情況：
a. 當先行詞為 all, none, much, little, few, something, anything, everything, nothing 等不定代詞時。
