1. 靈活運用詞彙,短語。 2.談論假想的情形。

iii:教學重難點: 虛擬語氣

第一課時(sectiona 1a~1c)

step1: lead in to new lesson :what should you do if you h**e lots of money?

1. h**e you ever had a dream?

2. what would you do if you were the headmaster of our school?

3. what would you do if you didn』t know anyone when you went to a party?

4. what would you do if you won a million dollars?

answer them using if i+過去式…, i would + v.

step2. discuss in groups

what would you do if you were our monitor?

step3 grammar:虛擬語氣

動詞的語氣在英語中分為三種:①陳述語氣 ②祈使語氣 ③虛擬語氣

虛擬語氣的概念:表示說話人認為所說的話是和事實相反的內容,只是一種願望;假設;建議;猜測或純粹的空想,或者說表示與事實相反的假設.用於條件句或某些動詞之後.

結構:1)與現在事實相反

主句形式為:主語+ would /should /could /might + v 原

if 引導的條件從句形式為:if+主語+過去式(be 動詞用were )

eg:①if i were you ,i would go at once.

if i ____(be)a bird ,i would fly to the sky.

②if there ____(be) no air or water ,there would be no living things on the earth.

③if he ____(study)harder, he might pass the exam.

2).與過去的事實相反

主句形式:

主語+should/would/could/might+h**e+過去分詞

從句形式:had+過去分詞

i had got there earlier i could h**e met her.

he _____(take) my advice, he _______(not make)such a mistake.

3).表示對將來情況的主觀推測。(可能相反或可能性很小)

主:would/ should/ could/ might+動原

從:過去式/ should+動原/ were to do sth.

if he would come here tomorrow,i should talk to him.

if she were to be here next monday, i ______ (tell)her all about the matter.

4)虛擬語氣用在wish後的賓語從句中

a:表示與現在事實相反的願望,謂語動詞用過去式 i wish i were you .

i wish i had your brains.

b: 表示與過去事實相反的願望, 謂動用 had +

i wish i had known the truth of the matter.我希望我原來知道這件事的真相。

c:表示將來難以實現的願望,謂語動詞用 should /would + v 原

i wish i should h**e a chance again.我真的希望再有一次機會。

step4 practice:1a~2c

n.百萬 billion十億 hundred thousand

①與具體的數字連用eg: 3 million books

②表示不確定的數目eg: millions of reasons

③在②前可用some/a few /several /many修飾

several millions of birds

2. medical adj. – n. medicine

a medical student \college 醫科學生\大學; a medical examination 體檢;the medicine for 治…的藥;

take/h**e medicine 吃藥

3. research ①n. two pieces of research 兩項調查,medical research (n)。

常與動詞 do ,make ,carry out 連用,表示「做或進行或完成研究工作」。 ②v.其後可接介詞on ,in ,into, for 等表示研究的內容。

意為「做…研究」。對…進行研究

如:what if she doesn』t come? 要是她不來怎麼辦?

如果地球上沒有水和空氣怎麼辦?

4. terrible adj.=bad 可怕的,嚴重的,糟糕的; terribly adv.

he was terribly ill.

5. the night before last 前一天晚上

the day before yesterday 前一天;

the week before last the year before last

6. get nervous緊張/ get pimples出麻疹
