1. 有禮貌地提出要求或請求准許（比can更委婉）couldyou（please）+v-原形？

could是為了表示禮貌的請求，除了can,could之外，還可以用may
如：could/can/mayiuseyourcarforaday?（ iwonderificoulduseyourcarforaday?）
肯定回答：yes \ sure \ certainly \ yes,(do)please.\ ofcourse(youmay \ can).\ goahead,please.\
that』sok/allright;
否定回答：i』msorryyoucan』t.或i』mreallysorry,butih**etouseittoday.
【注意】要避免說no,youcan』t.這樣顯得很不禮貌。否定回答通常用委婉語氣。
2. doyoumindifiuseyourcarforaday?
對於這句話所作回答可以說nevermind./notatall./ of course not.
表「不介意」，而不能用yes./sure./ofcourse.
/certainly.等。
【注意】無論肯定還是否定應答中，要避免使用could，要用can或may。因為應答須用確定的語氣。而could在表請求的問句中是為了表示禮貌或委婉語氣，用在應答中則成了不確定語氣，與情理不符。
語氣更委婉。類似句型有：
wouldyoulike+sth./todosthmayi+dosthshallwe+dosth.?
wouldyoumind+sth./doingsthwhat/howabout+sth./doingsth.?
肯定回答有：sure./ofcourse./certainly./ok./great./well./goodidea./iagree.等。
