本單元語法——形容詞和副詞的最高端
i、形容詞和副詞最高端的構成
（1）規則變化
① 一般情況下，單音節或雙音節形容詞或副詞加-est。如：
hard→hardest cle**er→cleverest few→fewest
cheap→cheapest fast→fastest
② 以-e結尾的形容詞或副詞加-st。如：
nice→nicest large→largest close→closest
③ 以子音字母加-y結尾的形容詞或副詞，先把-y改為-i，再加-est。如：
easy→easiest he**y→he**iest happy→happiest
busy→busiest early→earliest
④ 重讀閉音節詞詞尾只有乙個子音字母時，應先雙寫這個子音字母，再加-est。如：
big→biggest hot→hottest thin→thinnest
（2）不規則變化
good / well→better→best bad / ill→worse→worst
many / much→more→most little→less→least
far→farther / further→farthest / furthest
（3）多音節和部分雙音節形容詞直接加most。
popular→most popular beautiful→most beautiful
ii、形容詞和副詞最高端的用法
（1）三者或三者以上相比，表示最高程度時，用「the + 最高端」的結構表示，但為副詞的最高端
時，the可以省略。這種句式一般常有表示比較範圍的介詞短語，如：in our class， of the
five等。如：
zhang hua is the tallest of the three. 張華是三人中最高的。
he works (the) hardest in his class. 在他們班上，他學習最努力。
（2）表示「最……之一」的句式，用「one of the + 形容詞最高端 + 複數名詞」。如：
zoe is one of the most hard-working students. zoe是最勤奮的學生之一。
（3）當最高端前有物主代詞或名詞所有格時，不加定冠詞the。如：
today is my happiest day. 今天是我最開心的一天。
mum is her most trustful friend. 媽媽是她最信賴的朋友。
（4）最高端前可加序數詞。如：
china has the first largest population in the world.
中國是世界上人口最多的國家。
