teacher：what are you doing?
student 1：i am answering your questions.
the teacher writes 「what are you doing？」on the blackboard and asks in chinese：這是什麼時態？
引導學生回答，複習現在進行時態的意義及結構。再問這位學生：「what were you doing when i came in？
」，引入過去進行時態，板書課題，引出本節課的教學任務。
環節說明：以舊帶新，由學過的現在進行時態引出過去進行時態，易於學生理解，降低學習難度，便於引起學生的學習興趣。

1．自主大聲朗讀1a中的句子，然後兩人一組互相朗讀翻譯。(3分鐘)。
