【重點語法】
現在完成時和一般過去時的區別
1. 兩者都可以表示過去發生過的動作，但現在完成時表示過去動作對現在的影響，強調和現在的關係，不能和具體表示過去的時間狀語連用；而一般過去時則是表示過去動作的事實，和現在無關，通常和單純表示過去的時間狀語連用。試比較：
i h**e lost my bike. 我遺失了自行車。（沒有找回自行車，現在沒有自行車用）
i lost my bike. 我丟了自行車。（曾經丟過自行車，現在可能已找到）
2. 般過去時通常與表示過去的時間狀語連用。如：yesterday, last week, two years ago, just
now, in 2002等；而現在完成時則常與just, already, ever, never等副詞和these days, this week, since..., for...等表示一段時間的狀語連用。

「疑問詞+不定式」結構
在英語中，有一些動詞後面可以接疑問詞how，what，when，where，which，who再加動詞不定式，這類動詞中最常用的有forget，know，learn，remember，ask，decide，discover，think，understand，see，wonder，show+賓語，find out，want to know等。如：
he doesn』t know what to do.= we don』t know what we should do.
she doesn』t know how to get there.= she doesn』t know how she can get there.

1. 兩者都用於談論義務，但意思不盡相同。如：
he must stop smoking.他必須戒菸（指他自己想戒菸）
he has to stop smoking.他必須戒菸（指外界某人或某事要求他戒菸）
2. must 無過去時，但可用於間接引語中談論過去的一項義務，如果不是間接引語則用had to 來表達。

3. 否定句中don』t h**e to 表示不必做，而mustn』t 表示一定不能做。
