ⅰ.maybe / may be

maybe 是副詞,意為「大概, 可能,或許」,一般用於句首。may be是情態動詞,意為「可能是..,也許是..,大概是..」.

ⅱ、a few / few / a little / little

①. people can live to 100,butpeople can live to 150.

ⅲ、hard / hardly

①. the ground is tooto dig

hard作形容詞,意為「困難的,艱苦的,硬的」;作副詞,意為「努力地,猛烈地」。hardly意為「幾乎不」。

4.拓展創新疑問詞how的用法

(1)怎樣,用什麼手段,方法。howdidhedoit?

(2)情況如何(指身體健康狀況)howareyou?

(3)howmany,howmuch表示「多少」

howmany後接可數名詞複數,howmuch接不可數名詞。

(4)howoften是對動作發生的「次數」提問,詢問的是頻率「多久一次」

回答可以是:every day./ once a week./three times a week./ often./ ...

eg:howoftendoyouplaytennis?

(5) how long... ? 詢問的是時間長短「多長時間」

回答可以是:about one hour./ three hours. / thirty minutes./...

五、典型例題解析

1. how often do you exercise? 你(你們)多久鍛鍊一次身體?

how often + 助動詞do(does或did) + 主語 + do sth.? 疑問詞how often是問頻率(多久一次),(在這裡助動詞do(does或did) 是起幫助構成疑問的作用)與一般現在時或一般過去時連用,回答一般是用表示頻率的副詞,如:once, twice, three times…, sometimes, often, quite, often, never, every day, once a week , twice a month , three times a month , three or four times a month 等。
