（一）一般過去時態和現在完成時態的概念
一般過去時表示在過去某個時間發生的動詞或存在的狀態，也表示過去經常或反**生的動作常與yesterday、 yesterday afternoon、last year、in 1965、 a moment ago 等表示過去的時間狀語連用。例如：he came here yesterday.
現在完成時表示過去的動作（或狀態）對現在產生的影響和結果．例如：
he has broken his bottle.
(二）一般過去時態和現在完成時的區別：
１）現在完成時是表示過去的動作與現在的聯絡，主要說明的是現在的情況和狀態；而一般過去時則強調動作發生在過去某一時間，與現在不發生聯絡。例如：
we h**en't seen him since last year. (我們自從去年以來一直未見到他．（現在還未見到）
we didn't see him last year. 我們去年沒見到他（現在不一定未見到）
２）現在完成時表示從過去發生一直持續到現在（包括現在）的某個動作或狀態，與現在有關的時間狀語連用，一般過去時表示過去某一特定（與現在無關）的時間，與具體的表示過去的時間狀語連用。例如：
自他出生以來一直居住在這兒
劉梅昨晚去看了他外婆
三.值得注意幾個問題：
１）動作發生在過去，一直持續到說話的時候，並且還在延續時，要用現在完成時。例如：
我們學英語兩年了
２）指過去的經歷，但沒有表示過去的時間狀語，要用現在完成時。例如：
我曾去過上海兩次
３）以when開頭的特殊疑問句，要用一般過去時。例如：
你什麼時候丟了鋼筆
４）just (剛剛）與現在完成時連用，just now (剛才）與一般過去時連用。例如：
火車剛剛離開
火車是剛才離開
５） since 作介詞，後面跟時間名詞一起作狀語時，句子要用現在完成時；since 作連詞，引導狀語從句時，主句用現在完成時，從句用一般過去時。
自從2023年他已經在這個工廠工作了
自從他還是個孩子的時候我就認識他了
6 ） so far 、in the last / past …… 與現在完成時連用。例如 ：
到目前為止，很多國家已經發射衛星到太空了
四、學習現在完成時應注意的三個區別。
1）延續性動詞與短暫性動詞的區別。
2）since 和 for 的區別。
how long 多久，多長時間（用來提問某段時間）答語通常用for , since 引導（但此種時間的謂語動詞必須是延續性動詞）
for+一段時間since + 過去某個時間點
記住搭配：
since + 過去某時間點 since 1999
since + 一段時間+ ago
since + 一般過去時從句
it is + 一段時間+ since 從句 eg: it is two years since i came here .
3）h**e / has gone to 、 h**e / has been to 、h**e / has been in 的區別。
