比較級與最高端
1. 比較物件的一致性及替代
比較物件要保持型別一致，一般不能拿人和事物比較；為避免重複，第二個物件要使用恰當的代詞。
1) he has more apples than me.
=he has more apples than i (do).
=his apples are more than mine.
=my apples are fewer than theirs.
=i h**e fewer apples than he (does).
2) this desk is bigger than that one.
3) these sweaters are more expensive than those ones.
4) the weather in beijing is colder than that in qingdao.（注意不可數名詞的替代！）
2. much, a lot, a little, a bit, even, far, still 修飾形容詞、副詞的比較級，說明程度。注意：
very, quite, rather, really常修飾原級表示程度。
he is much taller than me.
he works even harder than i (do).
the box is very he**y, i can』t carry it.
the weather is rather cold today.
this sweater is really cheap, would you like to h**e a try?
3. 當有比較範圍限定時，比級最級前邊要加the, 兩個以內用比級，三個以上的範圍用最級。介詞in 表示大範圍，of 表示小範圍或固定搭配。
she is the healthier of the two.
lily is the taller of the twins.
she is the tallest of all/of the three.
she is the tallest in our class.
of all the students in our school, jim is the best. (注意比較範圍的前置)
4. which do you like better, a or b?
which do you like best, a, b or c?
who is taller, jim or jack?
who is the fastest, a bus, a car or a train?
5. more than = over : 多於
less than : 少於
there are more than 800 students in our school.
there are less than 30 people in the library.
6. 越來越……結構：
more and more + 多音節adj./adv.
adj./adv-er and adj./adv.-er
our life is getting better and better.
our hometown is getting more and more beautiful.
7. 越……，越……結構：
the + 比級…, the + 比級. (注意半倒裝語序！)
the more we get together, the happier we』ll be.
the harder you work, the better result you』ll get.
8. 比級與最級的轉換
shanghai is the bigger than any other city in china.
shanghai is the biggest city in china.
jim is taller than any other student in his class.
jim is taller than the other students in his class.
jim is the tallest student in his class.
總結 ：) 比較級＋than any other ＋n. （單） （適用於範圍一致時）
all) other ＋n.（復）
any ＋n.(單) （適用於範圍不一致時）
9. 比級與 not as (so)… as…(so僅用於否定！)的轉換
注意：as中間的adj./adv.只能用原級，轉換中要記得adj./adv.的變化。
1）jim is taller than jack.
=jack is not so/as tall as jim.
2）i am not so he**y as he. (不如…)
=he is he**ier than me.
10. 最級與序數詞的連用：第一大，第二大……。無論是第幾大，都要用最級，不能用比級！
changjiang is the first longest river in china.
the yellow river is the second longest river in china.
hainan island is the second biggest island in china.
11. one of the + 最級+名詞的複數…結構：
mary is one of the most popular students in our class.
qing dao is one of the most beautiful cities in china.
12 . 形容詞最高端前一定要用定冠詞the, 可以用形容詞性物主代詞、名詞所有格、序數詞以及by far, nearly, almost 等詞修飾，前面有形容詞性物主代詞和名詞所有格限定時，the 可以省略：
this is my busiest day.
changjiang river is china』 s longest river.
this hat is nearly the biggest.
