數詞基本知識講義
一數詞的分類
1 基數詞 ⑴ 1—10 one two three four five six seven eight nine ten
⑵ 11—19 eleven twelve thirteen fourteen fifteen sixteen seventeen eighteen nineteen
個位＋teen teenager青少年
⑶ 20---99 twenty thirty forty fifty sixty seventy eighty ninety—nine 幾十加幾
⑷ 101 one hundred and one 340 three hundred and forty 648 six hundred and forty—eight

從右到左，每三位加逗號，依次加thousand, million, billion
⑸ 表示確切的數字：直接用數字＋hundred, thousand, million, billion＋名詞複數
three hundred people are here.
表示不確切的數字：（概數）＋（hundred, thousand, million, billion）的複數形式＋of＋名複
several hundreds of people are waiting there.
★ in one』s＋「幾十」複數：表某人幾十歲時
in his thirties, he came true his dreams.
★ in the＋年代複數：表不確切的年代：
she died in the 1980s. 二十世紀八十年代
★ twos and threes 三三兩兩
people came to the theatre twos and threes.
★時鐘表示法：整點：幾＋o』clock 5:00 five o』clock
分鐘＋past＋小時：幾點過幾分 half past eight a quarter past eight
分鐘＋to＋小時：幾點差幾分 ten to eight a quarter to twelve
直讀法：10:26 ten twenty—six
★ 年月日表示法：1949 nineteen forty-nine 1800 eighteen hundred
253 two fifty-three 1902 nineteen o two 兩位兩位一讀
★具體到某一年的表達：in the winter of 1980 in the year 2012
2 序數詞
⑴ 第一到第十九：first—1st, second—2nd, third—3rd, fourth-4th, fifth—5th, sixth seventh eighth ninth tenth eleventh twelfth thirteenth fourteenth fifteenth sixteenth seventeenth eighteenth nineteenth
⑵ 第幾
十、第幾十幾：twentieth thirtieth fifty—sixth ninety-third
⑶ 第一百以上的多位序數詞：
one hundred and twenty—first 第一百二十一
★ a＋序數詞＋名詞：表再，又： a second time, a fourth time
★ the fifth page= page 5
★ 世紀 the＋序數詞＋century the sixth century
in the（early/ mid/ late） 1930』s/ in the 1930s 在20世紀30年代早期/中期/ 晚期
★ 幾月幾日：may the first 五月一日 may 1st.
3 分數
分子---基數詞；分母—序數詞；分子＞1時，分母用複數
3/4 three fourths/ three quarters 1/3 one third 1one and a half 2two and three quarters
4 小數和百分數
0.4 zero point four 10.23 ten point two three 1.09 one point o nine
1.05meters 1.5tons (＞1時)
百分數=基數詞＋percent 50% fifty percent 0.12% zero point one two percent.
★ 數量表示法：
1表長寬高面積等：基數詞＋單位詞（meters, foot, inch, kilogram, ton等）＋形容詞（long, wide, high等）=基數詞＋單位詞（meters, foot, inch, kilogram, ton等）＋in＋名詞（length, width, height, weight等）
two meters long= two meters in length
2 表時間、距離等時：基數詞＋單位（複數）』s＋時間或距離
five minutes』 walk an hour』s ride/ distance
3 表溫度時基數詞＋degree（s）＋單位（centigrade/ fahrenheit）
36℃ thirty-six degrees centigrade
-4℃ four degrees below zero centigrade
二數詞的應用及常考考點：
1 （數詞＋名詞）結構做定語：
a five-minute walk a sixteen-year-old girl a four-hundred-deep book
2 比…大幾倍：基數詞＋times＋比較級＋than＋名詞
the room is 3 times bigger than that one.
the book is four times thicker than that one.
3 another, other, more的用法
another＋基數詞＋名詞複數 another ten minutes
基數詞＋other/ more＋名複 three other men
